Gate Access and Visitor Control Centers

Daleville Gate

The Daleville Gate is open 24/7. The Daleville Visitor Control Center is open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Enterprise Gate

The Enterprise Gate is open 24/7. There is no Visitor Control Center at the Enterprise Gate. Unless escorted by an ID card holder, visitors with a pass must first obtain a pass from either the Daleville or Ozark VCC during their hours of operations.

Ozark Gate

The Ozark Gate is open 24/7. The Ozark Visitor Control Center is open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Faulkner Gate

The Faulkner Gate is open 4:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday through Sunday. The Faulkner Gate is closed on federal holidays. Unless escorted by an ID card holder, visitors with a pass must first obtain a pass from either the Daleville or Ozark VCC during their hours of operations.

Newton Gate

The Newton Gate is open 5-7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 1-3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

To obtain a Visitor's Badge, you will need a valid Government-issued picture identification, such as a driver's license, state-issued ID, or passport. Visitor's Badges may be issued for up to six months.  When accessing Fort Rucker, visitors must present a Visitor Badge and a valid Government-issued picture identification card in order to access Fort Rucker. To expedite the process, visitors can download and complete a Fort Rucker Form 2746-R-E and bring it with them at the time of processing. For more information, call (334) 255-0607.

To ensure that Fort Rucker is in compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12, all visitors will be vetted through the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III) prior to entering the installation.

Visitors coming to Fort Rucker who do not have a DOD-issued identification are subject to a background check in order to get a visitor access badge before they are allowed to enter the installation.

The purpose of the background check is to identify those persons who may pose a threat to good order and discipline on Fort Rucker.  The following derogatory information is a guideline for determining denial of access to Fort Rucker:

  • The installation is unable to verify the individual’s claimed identity based on the reasonable belief the individual has submitted fraudulent information concerning his or her identity in an attempt to gain access.
  • The individual has a current arrest warrant in NCIC, regardless of the offense or violation.
  • The individual is currently barred from entry or access to a federal installation or facility.
  • The individual is convicted of crimes encompassing sexual assault, armed robbery, rape, child molestation, production or possession of child pornography, trafficking in humans, drug possession with intent to sell or drug distribution.
  • The individual has a U.S. conviction for espionage, sabotage, treason, terrorism or murder.
  • The individual is a registered sex offender.
  • The individual has a felony conviction within the past 10 years, regardless of the offense or violation.
  • The individual is convicted of a felony firearms or explosives violation.
  • The individual has engaged in acts or activities designed to overthrow the U.S. Government by force.

Visitor Control Center personnel will NOT relay the source of the information to the visitor. Visitors are not authorized to view the information under any circumstances.
