1-14th Aviation Regiment has the primary mission of training 10 programs of instruction for the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence.  The unit is directly responsible for training, certifying and producing all AH-64D/E Undergraduate Flight School XXI Aviators and all graduate Aviators, particularly Instructor Pilots and Maintenance Test pilots for both advanced airframes.

We provide our students with a rigorous program of instruction that includes basic aircraft systems, responses to emergency procedures, both basic and combat flight maneuvers, night vision systems qualification and basic aerial gunnery qualification.  All tasks and subjects are trained in day, night, and night systems, and provide the United States and its foreign allies with highly trained combat Aviators and junior leaders that are developed to exercise basic Aviation leadership, maturity, judgment and decision making in their next operational assignment.
