Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers

The Fort Rucker BOSS Program was established to meet the leisure and recreational needs of single and unaccompanied Soldiers through innovative, fun-filled recreational programs and rewarding community service projects.

BOSS provides a vehicle for communication between the single Soldier community and the installation command that fosters the U.S. Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation philosophy: That single Soldiers are entitled to the opportunity to recommend policy changes that will enhance their overall quality of life, to participate in recreational and leisure activities of their choice and to contribute to their local communities.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month in the Single Soldier Dayroom located in building 8350 beginning at 4:00 p.m. These meetings are for all BOSS representatives at every level. Event planning meetings are held every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Meetings are held in at Building 6813, Dust Off Street. Well-being issues addressed during BOSS meetings will be submitted to the senior military advisor, Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Buford E. Noland, to seek resolution through the appropriate channels.
