Inspector General

The Inspector General assesses and reports to the commanding general on matters affecting the performance of the mission and state of the command to include efficiency, discipline, morale, esprit de corps, and readiness.

IGs operate within an environment consisting of commanders, Soldiers, Family members, DA civilian employees, retirees, and other civilians needing assistance with an Army matter and the IG system.

The IG serves commanders and their Soldiers through the IG functions of teaching and training, inspections, investigations, and assistance.
