Presentation Support Services provides support to indoor and outdoor events. Personnel will setup, operate, and tear down audio systems and visual presentation equipment for official indoor and outdoor events. Presentation Support Services supports a variety of functions to include change of command/responsibility ceremonies, conferences, ribbon cutting and ground breaking ceremonies, briefings, graduations and graduation balls and receptions.
The scope of equipment provided varies from simple sound systems, to more complex indoor and outdoor setups requiring multiple microphones, sound and mixing boards, projectors and screens or monitors, DVD or CD players and podiums. Audio technicians are in charge of setting up the equipment and are responsible for the audio equipment during an entire event. Submit your request for presentation support in VIOS at www.vios.army.mil.
MVISC has Portable Sound Systems available for loan. Portable systems will reach approximately 200 people in an indoor or outdoor environment. Systems come with a wireless handheld microphone and a body pack microphone, some include built in CD players.
These systems do not need a VIOS work request submitted but you will need to sign DA Form 3161, Request for Issue or Turn In, when checking one out. Call 255-2211 and talk to the VI AV technician to see if one is available or drop by Building 535. Technicians will provide instruction.
